ASPERGERS AND AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER SPECIALIZED SERVICE

Our specialist service, through carefully chosen individual packages of care, located in our 1 and 2 bed apartments, we provide specialist assessment and treatment for people with Mental Health Autistic Spectrum Disorders (Aspergers Syndrome, Autism, high functioning and atypical autism etc.) who may have additional complex mental health needs.

Our expert team includes experienced psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and mental health workers who working together lead the way in the diagnosis, assessment and management of complex developmental disorders. We specialise in assessment and treatment where there are particular difficulties in diagnosing and/or managing Autism and Related Disorders (ARD), including complex diagnostic issues, complicated and challenging behavioural and psychiatric problems, or when services are seeking a second opinion in purifying the diagnosis and hence adopt appropriate management plans. We also take a special interest in families where more than one individual has ARD, including twins and affected parents.

We also offer consultation, genetic counselling, treatment, support and advice to families or carers in relation to parenting children with ARD or being a parent with ARD.

Statement of educational needs
Assessment tools i.e., DISCO, ADI-R, ADOS-G, in addition to psychometric testing
Comprehensive assessments through psychiatry, psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy if needed
